96 cavalier 6x9 in the front

96 cavalier 6x9 in the front

is there any way or is there any adapter out there to mount a 6x9 in the front or would i have to modifty the door?

if its not made for 6x9 why put them up front???? if it fits 6 1/2 put that instead

but if you really want 6x9 well you will have to modify it

You have to modify the door, the most you will fit in the stock location with brackets is 5.5 inch.

I modified my 97 to fit very deep 6.5's and tweeter higher in the door.

A good jigsaw with a course metal blade works wonders. Then i made the spacers with layers of plywood, lots of glue and cut the door panel to match.
Sound deadener and some wetherspripping to seal and you're good to go.
