93 Concorde Help
I was wondering if anyone knows of a good quality/looking dash kit that will put my deck out about an inch. My deck and just about everyother one I have seen just seems a BIT to long with a flush mount kit.
Also were can I run 4gauge power wire for my amp through the firewall. I have heard of using the grommet for the brake pedal but I refuse to do that since there is the one in a million chance it could mess up the pedal operation. Do I have to drill a hole in the firewall? if so what could I use to protect the wire and keep water out?
Thanks for the help.

try plastic electrical conduit fittings similar to these, they work fantastic! Available at any home depot or Rona.

Ok cool I'm assuming that means I need to drill into the firewall eh. Oh well.
Any advice on dash kits? Why I ask is I can't find one that extends out they all seem to be flush mounts so any advice on brands or were to look would be apreciated.

no not necessarily, just look around carefully. I'm not familiar with that car's layout, but most have some spot you can go through. If not drill and use the fitting. As far as faceplates go, you'll have to look around as there are a few different versions and manufacturers. If you live in Toronto, try Oxford sound on kennedy rd., south of ellesmere. They have a large assortment of faceplates.

Regardingthe dash kit - you won't find one. The Chrysler kit from any manufacturer fits 99% of their cars, but none of them all that well. Sometimes it's crooked, other times it needs to be spaced, and in your case, the dash does not have enough depth.
What I do is use the standard kit and add two 1/4" DIN spacer rings, either spares out of other kits or new ones we stock, before sliding the can in and then the deck will just snap in. It's that or go custom and most people won't go custom
