make 2 boxes. both sealed prob. run one amp for the 12's LPF at 40 and subsonic at where ever you want it. then the amp for the 10's that are in the other box LPF at 80 and subsonic at 40. if it has it that is.. thats the only way i would run 2 size of subs

O.K. then,.... use the 300.2 for the highs, then he could do as I listed above. It's not doing him any good to add speakers when hes not supplying enough power to ones he has. Plus, mixing the 500.1 and 300.2 will be such a headache to get properly tuned to match if he even could. NEVER mix 2-12's & 2-10's playing the same frequency .... if he wants to add 2 more P3's he needs at least 1800 RMS!! Nowhere near a 500.1 and 300.2. That's assuming he's not going to try and mix match subs. That's why I recommended to properly power the ones he has now, then worry about getting more subs.

the t5001bd does put out 987watts RMS as tested on the birthsheet, and the t3002 does put out 892watts RMS. The 500watts and 300watts you found on the internet is just underrated, which is done by Fosgate all the time. You won't get the real power rating of a fosgate amp until you open up the brand new box and view the birthsheet, just like kicker amps.

892+987= 1879 watts RMS @ 14.4V. Yes, I know I won't be running at 14.4 in reality, but you get the idea.

Like one guy said, I have the amp there already, and I don't want to shove it in the basement when I can use it for the time being. I was thinking if I face the 2 12s towards the rear, and then have a separate box for 2 10s and face it towards the rear seat.

What are the pros/cons of running 2 sets of different sized subs? I know it will give pure bass as a pro, but what about cons?--> sound quality? Im not really clear on this subject. Thanks for all you input so far, its much appreciated. Keep it commin!

The only way you'll make that work is to follow Danyman's post. Cross them so they don't play the same frequencies at all. Otherwise you won't be getting any "pure bass" at all. Good luck.

Based on what everyone has experienced and what they have actually seen, which set up to do (stuck between them) to get the the best amount of bass and best sound quality:

Option 1) 2 12s facing towards rear and 2 10s facing towards rear seat
Option 2) 2 12s and 2 10s facing upwards

Neither actually......as you have been told a couple of times in this thread, different drivers playing the same frequencies is bad. At the very least you will have cancellation issues like crazy and no matter how you face them and what type of enclosure they are in it will be a downgrade to your system.

Your 2 amps are close enough in output to each run 1 sub you already have....since you have not posted what else you are running (ie. midbass drivers, comps etc.) it makes it harder to figure out what will help you out the most......

Personally I would look into adding some serious mid-bass to your system....if you are already running almost 1Kw of sub bass it is entirely possible that reinforcing the frequencies just above your subs will make a bigger and better difference than messing with the subs........
