You want your ground wire the same size as your power wire otherwise there is no point in the bigger power wire. Run the same size and I bet that your system will hit harder.

I dont under stand why you took at the cap all together. I'm about to do a big install in my car and my plan is to wire the cap after the distribution block for the amp that goes to my subs. I dont need a cap for the second amp which is going to power my internal speakers. Am I missing something?
