ok so im planing on buying a cap for my system and i can get a discount at futrueshop but they only have 1 farad caps there. although my amp can put out 1300watt rms, which would be too much for the cap i believe, but the subs r 700watt rms between the two, so if my logic is correct the 1 farad cap should do the job caus i dont think im going to be pushing my subs more than 700watt

Your amp can't take more then it can output. 1 farad will be fine for your 1300 w amp pumping out 700 rms.. the 1 farad is per 1000rms watts, if i'm wrong, well it still won't blow up in your face. 300 watts can't be that much..

actually why don't you hit up ebay for a 1.5f cap, you can get one shipped and customs payed for 75 $

Because the cap is wired in PARALLEL with the rest of your electrical system, it doesn't matter how small it is or how much current your amps draw, it'll just discharge until it gets recharged by the rest of your electrical system.

Which is why it's more important to have a better battery and alternator than a cap, but I digress.

You don't have to worry about a 1.0f cap "blowing up" or anything like that.

for 299 just get a yellow top. i think they are even less then that at walmart for a blue top, like 220 area.
