I went there so many times myself... and never had one where I live... so I finally gave in today and paid $250 for a complete 0/1 gauge kit to be installed.. and amp too.. so I can't complain.. but that XS cargo deal would have been cool.

Thanks everybody.. the input really helps

Depending on the manufacturer... if you're 'saving money' then a lot of the lesser priced wire will have a thicker jacket to make it look like 4 guage... I have seen some stuff listed as 8 guage but once you strip it, the actual wire itself is only as thick as a 10 AWG.

Plus the Thunder1501D takes 0 guage directly in.

I am sorry but 0 gauge wire upgrade is just not that pricey... compared to the woofers and amps needed to justify the 0 gauge

Getting it to fit under the carpet, or in a factory wire loom, or under a doorsill is friggin hard, the stuff is a PITA

Now were do you use 0 gauge... and how many compression fittings will allow 0 gauge wire to fit (battery terminals, fuse blocks, terminal blocks, amps are often not designed to fit that much copper). The stuff is a PITA, next time I will try 2 runs of 4 gauge
