Alright, if I hear it from one person I take it with a grain of salt. However if I hear from many people it's probably best to just listen. Inside the car it is. I guess my hesitancy related to running 0/ is I thought to run it inside the vehicle it the whole interior would have to be taken out to route it so it is hidden properly. If I have to take a couple seats and roll the carpet I can live with that.

Zoomer, I do appreciate the advice. However, there can be two, three, four ways to do something "right." There are various materials available to assist us in the job which can be changed to suite the environment. Just because I inquire about a possibly quicker alternative does not mean I don't take the time to do it right. In this case the majority wins although I am sure if it was polled there would be few that run it on the outside with no issues.

When I ran dual 0ga through my Neon it took 3 hours and left a couple of nasty bulges in the carpet. I picked up some foam underlay and layered it in the floorpan until even with the cable. No bumps and a deadened floor to boot

Do what you feel will be easiest. Undercar has more 'cons' than inside the car.

P.S what kind of electrical upgraes you got for the alpine... I'm curious how it performs

Well....thus far I have the big three in 0/1. obviously will be doing a run of 0/1 for the amp. I am researching a H.O alt but haven't gotten too far in that just yet. I am currently running two 12w3v3's so I will have the gain down anyways so I don't expect too much trouble electrically until I swap em for something else, at which time I will have to have the alt in I am sure.

I will be doing the install in a few days, i'll probably post something at that time.

H.O alt is unnesesary in my opinion. Extra Batt in the trunk and a couple extra grounds to the frame, and a run on positive 1/0 from the alt to the rear batt should be all you need.

Good luck bro

Correct me if i'm wrong but I thought that the addition of a second battery would increase the load on my alternator. I was under the impression that the second battery serves well if you are listening with the vehicle off, which I don't do. Thoughts?

You are technically correct, but, depending on your system, it may still be the most cost effective way to achieve what you want.
