That's the point you are not getting, depending on frequency and enclosure, your speakers might be able to take more power to reach their limits. The RMS of a speaker doesn't tell you how to reach it's limits in output or excursion, simply how much heat it can dissipate in X amount of time.

ya i understand that, you are looking to much into what im saying, all i was saying is that 500rms into a 150rms speaker seemed overboard at first.
and regardless of the enclosure, 500rms is going to be border line for these drivers unless you are careful.
