That's the point you are not getting, depending on frequency and enclosure, your speakers might be able to take more power to reach their limits. The RMS of a speaker doesn't tell you how to reach it's limits in output or excursion, simply how much heat it can dissipate in X amount of time.

ya i understand that, you are looking to much into what im saying, all i was saying is that 500rms into a 150rms speaker seemed overboard at first.
and regardless of the enclosure, 500rms is going to be border line for these drivers unless you are careful.
the RMS is the thermal handling of a speaker, im not arguing that at all:P
these particular ones are crossed really high, so they are fine
