It is funny seeing some people post who seem like they are obviously regular users but with a different alias.

To bad I am not a mod anymore, use to be able to tell who was who regardless of alias hehe.

I got your number!

make it good - it should be easy, i don't have a degree (yet) and am a young bartender... it should be easy for you to crush me...

Hurry up it's already been 15-minutes - what you looking up more words to misuse!

Please don't start posting dictionary definitions please - or wait a minute, go ahead that way we'll get a citation out of you.

Well it looks like you left the thread... it didn't take you 60 minutes to read my post did it? That's how long I watched you hang out in the thread, hopefully you actually started reading dogs posts
Hi Newguy,

Thank you for taking the time to read everyone’s posts and especially for your clear support of my efforts here; however, I fear a couple of things: 1) that at this juncture, your comments while accurate and supportive of the right people, will ultimately prove to fuel the very fire that I am working to lessen, 2) that in aligning yourself so greatly with me that those which have unfairly attacked me, will now attack you (but it seems like you’re ready for that).

Please, simply place your vote and allow due course to take its place, while it’s nice and I appreciate being championed, I feel that you may be over commented, resulting in having done more damage than good in here (I know that must sound ungrateful – but it isn’t meant to be and I apologize to you in advance, if that’s how you perceive my comments. I have much invested in here and I would like to stay, but it’s looking less practical with each passing day), but I do thank you again, for your efforts and I will likely take you up on your offer.

PS Please don’t bring your boys over for a scrap – thanks!

I must ask, what made you decide one day to come to this particular forum and start "educating"?

Upon my arrival, I had no intention of offering up comments of substance, as I was initially here to learn about the current mindsets of those that participate in 12-Volt forums. CCA claims to be Canada’s number one forum for such types, so I stopped in here first. Like many within CCA, I have been bitten by the 12-Volt bug, if you will (at a much earlier stage in life) and found myself getting wrapped up in the mind-set again; however, when I opened the thread, it wasn’t my initial intention to provide a linear progression of education, but rather to simple answer a few well thought-out questions that I could find some joy in answering. As you and others (including myself) have witnessed, after attempting to answer such questions, I allowed myself to get sucked into some contentions (and a little smack talk) with various individuals. I did so, in an effort to ensure that the individual who originally posed the question wouldn’t become completely confused and ultimately, un or misinformed etc.

As it became evident that there was no way out of such a negative loop, it occurred to me that offering a clear progression of educational modules, if you will, might in ultimate terms, provide the greatest potential for porting the big / complete picture.

I asked that everyone hit the reset button and explained that moving forward that I’d be making an effort to provide a complete picture, through a series of progressing posts and asked that everyone hold off from asking questions, until we were at least a few progressions deep etc. It seemed to help; I put out a few well detailed posts, which were clear and useful, in terms of laying out a foundation for system design, I added a little relevant sidebar commentary/education along the way. I also ensured that I added citations along the way, but before I even got to STEP 2, some still took poorly to my efforts and the rest as they say is our current history.

So if I decide to stay, I will most likely revert to simply answering various questions put to me and I will ignore the rude comments of other members etc. However, comments or request for additional clarification that are put to me in a polite manner, I will in fact answer.

Please feel free to hang out exclusively on the other site. We won't beg you to stay here.

I'm quite certain that any one popping up anonymously on any site and promptly telling the membership that none of them are as well schooled or experienced as themselves will recieve the same reaction as here.

As far as the Moderators doing their job - when we do we are accused of sensorship. In reality, I should moderate at least a few of your posts. Of course that wouldn't be fair then would it...

I would welcome you to the site, but you are not new here. I found this interesting:

Newguy seems to have multiple personalities using dogbaker and Newguy sharing the same computer.
