Ask Me Anything About Audio System Design
#393
he does start threads like that, due to the fact he doesn't know the right answer either, nobody does.
if there was a way to make things like they used to be, it would have already happen. nobody knows the answer

Who are you trying to kid?
If you simply wanted to teach, you'd write a book.
But you want to make a spectacle, instead.
If you really understood and valued sound quality, you wouldn't be in car audio. You'd be an audiophile.
Anyone with any understanding of loudspeakers, and acoustics wouldn't waste their time investing large amounts of time and money into a 'car audio' system that couldn't even begin to reach the linearity and transfer function of a properly aligned driver configuration, void of diffraction, baffle step increases, cavity resonances, back wave driver reflection time smears, enclosure resonances and drumming, and controlled off axis response, in a space large enough, and treated well enough, to mitigate comb filtering and standing waves, and increase the ratio of direct/indirect sound the listener would hear.
If there's any 'learning' to be done, it's to understand those facts that I've just mentioned, and stop going completely overboard trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, with a car audio system that will never be anything approaching a great home audio system.

Tight pants used to be in fashion, then they were lame, now they're the again. Maybe it just takes time

Attention is what you wanted. And it's what you're getting, so your question about whether you're wasting your time, is rhetorical.

It's clear that a) you haven't read all of my posts b) you have, but haven't understood them c) your the one looking for attention d) a mix of 'b' and 'c'...
I am running this 'poll' to weed out 'your type'... the unthinking, highly assumptive pugilists that are nothing more than a nuisance.
So rather than interrupt those of us that are trying to connect with one another, why don't you simply move on and open your own thread - I promise that none of us will invade your space, as you and your type have done to us!
It's real simple - if you don't like what's being said, then don't read it!
If you feel that you have something to say - say it in your own thread!
It is clear that many of us in here are of like mind and are simply trying to find a quite place to hang out etc...
Also, your comments were very offensive to many when you stated - "Anyone with any understanding of loudspeakers, and acoustics wouldn't waste their time investing large amounts of time and money into a 'car audio' system..."
You do realize that many of us have spent several thousand of dollars in the 12-Volt industry - don't you?

Hi Luke
I am still involed with USAC... IASCA has basically pulled out of Canada. Put I do drop in on a few local events.
Not sure where you got the idea that Danley box was my design.

I didnt , just thought that would be using the design in a vehicle to promote the idea and to show others what its said to do
