i herd somthing like 74 hz was the magic number... is that true?

lets take my car for example... 4dr honda accord... nobody knows what the right tuning freq is because that is a bad spl platform right? flat glass is the best?

My buddy had 2 different 4dr accords, a 98 5sp and a 99 auto, and with 2 different amp and sub setups, we could never get any bass out of either of them. I'm talking a 15" sub with 460wRMS running to it.

Never got them metered, but they sounded ridiculously weak. Same sub(s) in my buddies 92 celica trunk would blur your vision. Anybody else have issues getting bass out of accords of that gen?
