Getting any extra spl!!!

Ya man, I know exactly what you mean. But... Im guessing that those sound like **** for normal playing. I like to listen to it daily and have a good sound. We tried to find the balance in between. I still get first in most competitions I compete in. I dont really want to build a new box because I like the one i have and it would be a lot of wood to waste as well as time.

build port block with a much smaller port inside of it for everyday driving and make sure that you have it well secured or it will pop out I would also carpet the outside of the PORT BLOCK to help seal to the BIG original port

I too would build two separate enclosures. One for SPL and one for daily driving. That is really the only way to truly get the best of both worlds. It looks like your setup could be easily switched back and forth. I also agree that while putting the subs in the trunk may not necessarily raise your SPL (although it might) it would at least put you in a class more suitable for your equipment.

Makes 10x more sense that it was just built in the car.

Jordy how does it make 10X more sense? I can take those seats and center console out in about 5 minutes, that's way easier than building the box in the car. I was just thinking that 5 minutes to take the seat out, 5 minutes to take the daily box out and put the SPL box in, and another 5 minutes to replace the seats is not alot of effort, for a big improvement overall. Anyways I think he should go trunk mounted anyways.
