Fibreglassing the inside of a box?
#21
resin will strengthen the box while on the other hand can hurt your SPL depending on the requird volume your subs like....test it out with a meter then u will know the difference ,and yes everything takes time to make them perfect

the only way the resin is gonna help is in stopping air leaks(which will only occure where 2 peces of wood have been joined togther).it wont add any strength to your box. fiberglassing in a flat surface is not very strong.if your box had air leaks then u are loosing SPL already.
glassing it on the outside is more benificial imo because 1.it protects the mdf from getting wet
2.it will stop MINOR air leaks
3. makes it easy to paint
just my 2 cents correct me if im wrong

Well for the 15 dollars its gonna cost for resin im gonna do around the inside corners anyway, just as a re-assurance its not leaking.
If i have any leftover i'll cover what i can on the outside of the box on the corners.
A friend of our family does apholstry, and he has alot of excess material/vinyl/leather for me to rummage through, so for the low low price of nothing i can't go wrong.
