Ahhhh its been awhile since I last posted in this forum....1-2 years I believe!

So here I am finally came to my wits and saved up a few pennies to buy a car...and alas I am now ignorant of the current car audio scene! How ironic lol...I was 16 and I was calculating graphs....T/S parameters etc (with WinISD...is that thing still alive???) now I am just plain ignorant/uninformed with the whole scene!

Ok....nuff ramblin...Im buyin a 93 240SX sometime within the next month or so...question in mind: For a $2000 CDN budget...I'd like to acquire a decent entry level deck, amp, sub(s) and fronts...suggestions? Go nuts!

Try driving a vehicle that's worth $1500 and spending five times that on audio...

Hey, I live 10 minutes south of hamilton.

www.ascendantaudio.com these subs are loud & low distortion subs. They have 12-15-18" and 2 models, an atlas (300W) and the avalanche (800W), both are loud & low distortion woofers, and the atlas is only like $100 american. They are extremely efficient woofers. The avalanche line have better low end than the RE XXX, but above 60hz the XXX takes it.

My plans:

simple easy to use deck

Cdt cl-62 components
200W x 4 channel amp

2 Ascendant Atlas 12”
Ported 4 cuft @ 30hz
600W amp

^^^I would NOT reccomend Ascendant audio. I ordered a 15" avalanche, and they dicked me around for over 3 months before I cancelled the order and bought a far superior subwoofer. First they said the sub was ready, and they will be shipping out all their canadian orders on monday, call back 2 weeks later for a tracking #, they are waiting on glue for the dustcaps. Call back 2 weeks later, dustcaps are the wrong size. Call back a month later and my driver isn't even built yet. A sham if you ask me, because on their website it says that they are just blowing out their last remaining subs, and are changing motor technologies. They have also told other people including me that we bought their last ever sub. Seems kinda fishy if they have ~10 people being told that they bought the last sub. This all happened about 4 months ago, call now, I bet they still have "a couple" subs left. I again, do not reccomend buying from Ascendant Audio.

Install would be taken care of by yours truly
