worth installing?
ok so i have a little 2 channel pioneer amp 150 wrms 4ohms and i dont kno if i should wire it up to my speaks....i will be running 5 1/4 kenwoods upfront rated for 100 watts and pionner 6x9's in the rear deck...anyway i want to get a nice 4 channel eventully but in the mean time i cant afford it as im saving up for a bass amp and some new subs....
so should i bother installing this amp for now? my headunit already says 50w x4 at 4 ohms so would the small power increase make a difference?
or should i just not bother with the work and leave it in my closet and wait for the cash to buy a decent amp.....

darn right it is... your deck "says" 50x4 but that is max power.... the avg after market deck puts out 10-20 watts RMS per speaker. also look at the size of your deck.... look at the size of the pioneer amp.... after you take away all the things for the am-fm and the cd player and the display and the EQ and the bass and trible controls so that you are just looking at the amp in side the deck it will be able to almost fit in your hand,,, now look at the pioneer.... the sound will be cleaner and louder and less clipped less distortion
wire the amp in 2 channel and wire the two left side speakers together to 2 ohm and do the same for the right side. then connect the left speakers to the left output of the pionner amp then the right side to the right output of the amp. and you will hear a world of difference.......
BUT do you have aftermarket speakers...?????? you dont have to....... you can put a after market amp on your stock speakers..... JUST be careful with the volume and the gain on the amp. also make sure that they are 4 ohm per speaker
