My current HU, a Kenwood Excelon KDCX969. It's a year and a half old, and has been in the shop FOUR times. Last time they "fixed something that wasn't broken" too. They replaced the gears in the flipout, even though there was nothing wrong with them. Now, the face doesn't stay open all the way... hit a bump on the road and it'll move around too... bastards....
An Orion XTR900 amplifier, nothin' but problems that no one could figure out, replaced with my current Orion 1200D and haven't had a problem since.

you should try taking things into your own hands seeing your dealer can't
