I'd like to welcome all the industry members to this new forumn. I seem to be in charge here so I will start off with a few basic rules.
1. Keep it civil, I know there will be competitors on here having discussions, but no personal attacks will be tolerated. If I can get along well with all the local competitors we can all get along here.
2. What happens in the void stays in the void, anyone breaking this rule will be punted.
That's it so far, so have fun guys. Now we can bitch about customers without them knowing!

I love the customer that comes in with a 2004 Ford F350 diesel that wants a alarm/starter combo with doorlocks, immobilizer, multiple LED's and comes by the shop at 4:30p.m. on a Saturday (yes today) and wants it installed and then proceeds to call me a few names in the book when I tell him we can't and that we're completely booked.
Fine, I'll go to "such & such" and they'll install it today for me.
Yeah right. Good luck. Next time book in advance and bring an extra key if it was even possible to do same day install anyways.

What makes me mad is it was purchased from us, payed for in full, doesn't show, and tryed to call the customer and of course can't get a hold of them. Then calls about 3 hours later and said he can't make it in today. So now I have one installer sit around all day doing nothing A$$ HOLE
Oh well I could always make him sort resistors

This really should have been started in a new thread but, I wish we could do what dentists do, charge for missed or late appointments, most of them also have "emergency fees" which basically means there is an extra charge for same day stuff. That would be cool.
