Hey everyone,

To wire a 2ch. amp into 2Ohms with the two subs, do I simply connect both subs to the pos of one ch and the neg of the other ch ?

I am looking @ the MRV-1005, and it is rated at the following:
RMS Power (at 12V, 20Hz—20kHz)
Per channel into 4 ohms: 100W x 2 (008% THD)
Per channel into 2 ohms : 200W x 2 (03% THD)
Bridged 4 ohms: 400W x 1 (03% THD)

RMS power (at 144V, 20Hz—20kHz)
Per channel into 4 ohms: 150W x 2 (008% THD)
Per channel into 2 ohms: 300W x 2 (03% THD)
Bridged 4 ohms: 600W x 1 (03% THD)

Now how do I get my 2 subs to work @ 2ohms, so I can take advantage of the 300w x 2 @ 2 ohms ?

Can I not have the thing run @ 2 ohms mono for the subs ? If so how do I hook it up - if not, whats the best setup with that amp I listed above?

That Alpine amp you are looking at is only 2ohm STEREO stable. Bridging both subs on it (in parallel) would give you 2ohm mono which it cannot handle. You could bridge the amp and wire the subs in series but that would give an 8ohm mono load and you would only be getting half the power that the amp can produce. It isn't a good choice.
You need an amp that can handle 2ohm mono.

The gentleman selling the MRV-1005 stated the following:

"do you have both subs i one box? if you do you could just wire one sub's (+)terminal to the other sub's (+)terminal, and the same goes for the (-)terminals, one to the other, the just run one (+) and one (-), to the amp. it shows you on the amp wher to connect the wires for bridged mode. i had this amp running my 2 10 inch type r alpine subs, the 1000 watt ones and it pushed them pretty hard, people couldn't beleive i only had 2 tens."

Any comments/suggestions?
