The Room of Doom (part 2)
#1
Anyone here ever go to Burlington Radioactive? If so, you should go and check out the new Room of Doom. It consists of twelve Clarion 15" subs and a pair of Clarion 1000-watt amps. The entire room is essentially a big bandpass box with a door-sized port tuned to 10Hz.
Today I stood in the "port" while Lee played an 11Hz tone...HOLY CRAP, my shirt was billowing in and out, my hair was moving, my pants were flapping, and all the ceiling tiles were bouncing around. I even saw a heavy Memphis sub jiggling around form the bass! And the best part is, it's totally inaudible! You can't hear a thing! Yet it feels so damn cool! I suggest you all try!

2) To impress people.
3) To demonstrate how a single 1000-watt amp can power six large subwoofers to such an extent.
4) To make people want to buy Clarion.
5) For the sheer hell of it.
6) Because Clarion sponsored it.
