Wink pro imaging advice please

Hello peeps , I'm currently using focal k2p upgraded 6.5's and my imaging ( sound is completely detached from speakers ) is near perfect . My qustion is how to get the width of the stage outside the apillars in an 99 explorer sport . Also the focals are in my doors as of now , would using kicks help me in this quest ? p.s. THANK YOU FOCAL .......your speakers are unbelievable..........

Id say your only option is to move the speakers outside of the vehicle......

Kicks would probly help a lot, as well as, if you can; putting your tweeters or even your mids and tweeters above the dash, with midbass in kicks.

Running active would definitely help. width is more about reflections and psychoacoustics... try your mids in kicks, it should help.

Thanks again Sass . I can see where reflections would come into play . Any concerns about to much power ( I consider myself a responsable user , BUT ) thats going to put 600 watts up front? p.s. what does this mean ? Warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in /editpost.php(603) : eval()'d code on line 1

your width will not get better with tweeters in your kicks...your too higg from the speakers in an Explorer...

kicks should make a vast improvement in midrange response... on axis is always better then off ! active crossovers have many advantages as well so using both amps is a very good idea as sass recommends...

FYI It is generally recommended that the tweeters be mounted with the midrange to minimize phasing differences..... so if thats where the mids are going I'd opt to put the tweets there as well....

as far as the origional question there is no possible way to extend the width of your stereo image past the outside of the vehicle without moving the speakers outside.... you may have thought that I was being sarcastic but mounting of mids/tweets in the side view mirrors has been done for this very reason... although the idea does seem impractical with little to gain...
