What's the going price for alpine type R subs(new ones with multi roll surround)in the toronto area? i.ve been quoted 280.00 each.

sounds like u may need to speak to some other sales man if u have no trust in the current one. most people in the industry are honest individuals.

It think if they are 12" subs and I assume they are then $280 from the dealer is pretty good.

i`ve seen them (i think) in orangeville and guelph for around 250, and this weekend i was looking around the mississauga are and the range from 250-300.

 

^^thanks Mayhem, they are a nice sub, but when I can get them on ebay for 99.00usd each brand new with a one year store warranty...It's going to be hard to justify...maybe I'll wait for the price to come down or I'll drive to my cousin's house( have not seen her in a while anyway) in NYC and make it a party trip with 3 subs to boot.

 

^^sorry correction, the price came down to $95.00 usd each. i don't know how they do it, but you got to figure someone is making a lot of money on these at some level in order to sell them that cheap. Anyway, it's not authorized and definitely not a factory warranty... but for 1/3-1/2 the price...it's hard to buy it full pop over here. I admit that after the shipping, exchange etc...it may not be worth it, but for 3 subs I'd still save 450.00.

 

that price on ebay is plus shipping, i wonder how much it works out to be with duty and everthing? i`m interested in that sub as well. just for the info e.h.r is supposedly having a sale this weekend, think i`m going to check it out.
