I've lived on this border for 31 years now, for years crossing it every weekend to hit the club scene in the falls... and now that i'm married, we still go over, to visit our Canadian friends, to go shopping, go to dinner, go to IKEA, etc...
...and never had any hassles at the border.
Yes, it used to be they just asked you where you lived and wished you a nice day...
...now they also ask to see your license as you drive through.
Tricky.
Possibly things are more difficult on the west coast.

I'm also assuming that the referral program still stands...
That being basically $50/off for each person you refer.
Might be the ideal timeframe for referrals...
Soon enough that it isn't like trying to refer people to attend some way-out-there event, but far enough out that your fellow enthusiasts probably don't have anything scheduled yet.
Hey, some part time jobs don't pay $50/day.
And if you are good enough, you could go for free... 6 referrals.

Hey guys:
It's not looking too good for the Sacramento Summit. What was a burst of enthusiasm in January/February when the idea was first presented has since fizzled to virtually no registrations. Shame...Cali used to be the hotbed of car audio...looks like Canada is what we have left!
Can we get a dozen people to an event in Buffalo? If so, I'll get the plane tickets and make accomodations right now...
Oh yeah, the sponsorship afforded to the Sacramento Summit would then be applied to the Buffalo Summit instead. For the first ten that register, you'd get a FREE DLS Magnesium Series MS6 component set, valued at $329.00. Yup, buy a registration for $250 to a day-long Summit, with all the trimmings, and get a $329 speaker set for free.
If I can get a dozen that will DEFINETELY attend on April 24, I'll be there...
Scott
