i just wanted to see if anyone could help me out with what this amp... it is an older Phaze Audio "Tube Driver" Class A Amplifier, its gold in color, will produce 150w rms x2 or 300w rms x1... its almost brand new in box, only used for maybe a few hours, was meant for a show car but got replaced with something different... ive heard from a few people these are very rare and hard to come by?
i was wondering what it was worth?

Discontinued amps from companies that are out of business are often rare and hard to come by... but quality amps will retain a larger fraction of their original value. Look on eBay for an up to the minute price quote of "fair market value".
I have hung onto an ancient Soundsream amp that did well for me 'back in the day'.
Sux2Bhim has some vintage Alpine equipment he has restored
There have been 2 threads on Adcom amps in the last year
Vintage amps have sentimental value more often than fiscal value, the Phase amp in question should have a decent resale value

Uhm..... are you sure these are their first gen of Tube Driver? If they are they'll be from Butler Audio and not Phaze. The early ones are much warmer sounding and the Phaze Audio ones is detail but leaner sounding and comes with Sovtek tubes.
The Tube Driver used to retail for about $1499.00cdn. but I have seen them on E-bay going for around $350-$500us I think a good selling price is probably around $600-700cdn.

Well..... the original ones does not have Phaze Audio silk screened anywhere on the amp, just Butler Audio. and it has a single control for Lt/Rt gain. While the Phaze Audio ones has seperate Lt & Rt pots... and all the silk screens are white instead of gold.

Looks like you have the in betwwen ones. On the early ones.. the gold amp cover where the tubes are, the mesh wraps around more and the later ones don't. (See pic below)
.....For what the amp is worth to the mass consumer, depends if they know the changes from the early ons to the later ones. Most people just buy the amp for the facts it has tubes and has XLR balanced inputs etc.
The value of the amp has been mention above is $500-$700cdn.
Why not just have a listen to it and decide for your self... before you sell it.
