overheating with plexiglass amp rack?
#1
Its late on friday night and the design of a new amp rack is keeping me awake...
However, the only drawback I can come up with is the amps oveheating due to a plexiglass sheet covering them. At the moment, I have a power acoustik A1800DB. My mids amp has yet to be chosen.
The plexiglass will be about 1" above the amp. Maybe a few holes will solve my problem?

Before you go and drill holes in your nice plexi, can we see some pics of the install? Any option for exhaust fans to get rid of some of that heat? The plexi could deffinatly be a contributor as to why your amps are overheating, but there are more options to be had than killing that nice plexi.

what about overcooling? Its just as bad as overheating...
The fans I was looking at were rated at 110cuft/min so should I just run two of them and attach them to a relay using my remote wire?
Can I run two fans, a couple remote wires and some neons off the same relay? What if I take out the neons and fans later, should i just change the fuse?
Lastly, how much should i fuse my remote wires comming from a relay?
