New to the Audio World
Hey,
Just got a 2006 Acura RSX Type S.
Its got a decent sound system for a stock system. I'm not going to worry about speakers right away, because they are decently loud. It does have a tiny sub (in the middle of the spare tire) but of course it doesn't give much bang.
I'm wondering what type of setups there are, I have no idea on brands/sizes/prices and all that.
I was thinking two 10" subs, or 12" subs.
I listen to mostly rap/hiphop. Don't want to spend too much, hoping $600-700 for the setup.
Any possibilities? I would like good quality, not all crappy when you turn it on.
Thanks,
Carter

If you want to get online, which I recommend ( cheaper than retail ) I would suggest either
Car Audio Stereo - Car Subwoofers - Car Amplifiers and Speakers
or
Audio Savings | Welcome to AudioSavings.com
Both ship to canada. You just have to pay brokerage fee which is only like 50 bucks for 12's ( goes by weight )
Just have a look at the subs offered to get an idea of whats out there. Just beware of over inflated ratings. eg. Stay away from power acoustik, boss, and cheap *** brands like that. Try to find eg. RE audio, Hifonics, Soundstream, Kicker, Alpine, etc. Basically if it has a high rms rating compared to others for a lesser cost then steer clear. You get what you pay for.

Audio Savings has FAST shipping. I have ordered stuff from them in the past and gotten it the next day, sometimes 2 days later. Only drawback is they ship with DHL....i dont like DHL much cause they have screwed up my shipping so many times. I have a hard address to find i guess.....even though UPS has never had an issue with it.
