I guess it depends on how much you want to spend.. if the budget was unlimited, i'd take an Kicker 8L7 or a JL 8W7 over anything..

Can I ask why you are planning to use 8's?

8's make kinky spanky midbass.
Well, maybe not kinky, but they have a kick to them that's rather unique.

Don't you mean lack of kick....due to lack of cone area?

Uhhhh, no rather a midbass kick. Kick-drum bass is 70-90 Hz, not 30-50.

Those eD's are one sexy sub. I've heard the RE8 and it's a great little driver. I've wanted to do a system with 4 8's for a long time. Excellent impact and enough cone area with the multiple subs for nice low end extension. Good luck

Can I ask why you are planning to use 8's? </font>
Well I have an 18inch inhuman right now wich is said to be GREAT as an SQ driver, however, I need to sell it to get some quick money and it takes A LOT of room. Another reason is that I want my install to be as stealthy as possible, and maintain most of the space in my truck so to keep utility in my "sports utility". Plus, I am convinced with 2 good drivers, or 4 lesser drivers I could still get some good loudness.

That and I love SQ, and my days as a base head are gone.

That e8a sounds really awesome. I might get 2 of those then.

So right now I crossed out the Xmax and the RE8. The RE8 Is just to ugly heh
