I have used the Soundgate products as well several times and they are great, but I know for a fact that when I went from my factory 6 disc with the soundgate one to my Sony CDX-C910 there was a huge difference in sound.........................big time..........enough for me to give up my steering wheel controls..............now it doesn't matter cause I have a Momo wheel.....

i find the biggest downfall of using a loc is that the oem radio's have a nondefeatable loudness curcuit
most factory loudnesses have hordes of bass and very little at higher volumes

Nothing like that, I ran into that kind of think on a Navigator once, what a pain in the ***...........the LOC and the customer...

I have one of David Navones LOC on my chrysler OEM deck, I get 8 volts to my AMP which = Very LOUD and VERY DYNAMIC sound! No serious problems at all.

where can I pick one of those up? My buddy is wanting to keep his stock deck in his new mazda 3 but add a sub.

I"m using an alpine unit, and it works really well on the aftermarket deck.
