Sorry Jamie,

I wasn't talking about your Honda Civic, I should have said I was talking about the Impala you are building.

I would never imply that you had something that was hidden. I don't know much about your cars, and it would be rude to make comments about that.

What I was talking about was your new sub setup in the Impala, not the dash one. It sounded pretty exciting to me, considering your success with high efficiency drivers in the past. Just curious how it's going?

Wow, Jamie you could hit mid 140s with a sealed box, two 12s at 16 ohms impedance, 40 watts of power and a low-pass of 35 Hz? If you weren't a well-known person with a good rep, I'd have to raise the on that one. Was it partially fluke that it worked out so well or excellent design and forethought?

I have 200 watts going to each 6 inch (so, 400 to both 6s) and 50 watts going to each Image Dynamics horn (so, 100 to both horns)...but the horns are efficient as hell...109 db sensitivity...it's plenty of power for my set up...

the box was built and designed by Arlindo Silver of Audio Illusions. This guy knows who to build boxes. He did a CRX with 8 6.5s in a tramsmision line box running off one 225HO and it was doing 148's.

He is a true enclosure master

My Car is going very well. Maybe I'll post up some sneak peak pic's.....or not.

July.......be on the look out

Oh another thing, I move the crossover up[ to 80 for SPL runs...sorry i didn't clear that up.

the 35 hz slope was for my SQ setting, but gains never changed.

Need proof, look in some old car audio mags. You'll see in finals results my SPL levels recorded

I wish i could comment with : "i have..." but alas the system is history.
my old set up had:
100 wrms per speaker on my 3 way system. i felt i needed more midbass although it was seriously loud (some more tuning and it would have gottan better). nonetheless i've heard a front end get ridiculously loud off 25 total watts/side, with no shortage on dynamic peak reproductions. Efficiency was definetly key!

...just in case people were wondering about the high impedence thing...damping factor goes up when impedence is increased. Although that's just a theory thing, I have no idea how it sounds as I've never played with running subs in series versus parallel. Although I"m probably a good canidate for that as I've got 4-4ohm drivers in my rear deck.

Hmmmmmmm
