Although this is on the other side of the subwoofer size scale, I used the C6.5d in an IB setup as mid-bass in my CRX years ago. I remember them working very, very well in IB. As Dave said above, most woofers should work pretty well in IB as long as you provide lots of power & create a completely sealed baffle from back to front.

It's my understanding that because there's no enclosure to help control the woofer, the amplifier is the sole control over how the subwoofer reacts. I was told as a general rule many years ago - more power = more control.

I could be wrong, it's happened once before

^ more power (if used) can cause over excursion.

A simple experiment with WinISD will show that changing the enclosure size changes the power required to reach maximum excurision.
