I had a 94 4runner and the factory 4" speakers are in little plastic ported enclosures behind the dash. I replaced them some polk 4" components and it sounded amazing. That's all I had was two 4" components and 2 12"L7's and it sounded gooood. I think a ported enclosure done right would sound great.
Your install looks great, that must of taken you a hellava long time, well worth it though. I bet your just itching to take it to a show.

The alum. piece you see is the intake manifold.. Probably does get warm though.
Defro, looks good. White R/Ts are about the rarest R/T made. Any construction shots of the door pods?

tons of construction pics pm me with your email and i'll send them to you. the doors were by far the most complicated to build, to get them to fit behind the factory panel was time consuming 50-60 hours per door, the dash took quite a while as well, the passenger side airbag was removed and a .75 cubic foot ventd box was built, the entire factory wire harness was relocated as well as every defroster and ac vents, the tweeter pods in the doors are adjustable to change angle, all in all a fun car to build, and the power wire runs along the air intake and gets warm but thats it not a concern at all, the wire actually mounts to the injector rail [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
