And im sure you would agree that saving space and simplifying a system by removing parts that are not needed or used is generaly a good thing especially in mobile audio where space and power are always limited. And since im not a loser that sits in my car and plays video games in a parking lot, i wouldnt really have much use for a video screen other than entertaining passengers on road trips. I hope that answers your question, now perhaps with your knowledge you could be kind enough to answer mine.

I will get much more than a new head unit is worth as well as saving space simplifying things. And no, making money is not the only reason to pull it out and put something else in. Thanks for reading though. Also, im glad you know what 'most' people do. Where exactly did you get your statistics from?
Why do people on this board feel the need to lecture? Is it because you think you're super guru car audio enthusiasts yet you dont know the answer to a simple question? Ive already gotten an answer so maybe everyone can quit lecturing me, because everyone that does is a hypocrite.

Well most people who do it for a living do know more than most people who don't. It's not really simplifying if you have to do some labour for little or no gain if your sole reason is to lose the video. WHich from your post is all you want. You really aren't saving much for power as those units draw maybe 10 amps max, as for saving space, sure you are saving 1/4 of a cubic foot with the space the changer takes up. I am really sorry to have offered my opinion, obviously you didn't want it, that's why you started posting on an open forum. I am sure the other guys who have a combined experience of about 50 years in car audio are sorry too.
Oh and I think PAC makes a part that can bypass the Alpine safety system.

Actually the 'other guys who have a combined experience of about 50 years in car audio' have already given me a couple different solutions to my problem, and i thank them very much. They didnt give me some lecture on watching videos or tell me why or why not i would change my own system. Maybe next time people want to bump up their post count or hear they own voice, a simple "i dont know the answer to your question" would suffice.
