Help A Noob Please lol .. Question

Hey ,

I have just got my first car and i have a little bit of knoweldge about car audio . I just purchased a 2008 dodge avenger. I have purcahsed 2 10' alpine type r subs in a basworx box for like 200 . I believe they are 4 OHMS? . Im not intrested in competing , i just want clear and really loud sound . i Clearly need a good amplifer , wiring kits , deck and everything . What do you guys recamend as the most cost effective way of doing this? aswell as the most cost effective way of getting it installed , or installing certian things myself? .

thank you for your time ,

Taylor

if its a dual 4ohm the subs you will have to look for an amp that does 800 to 1000watts rms at 1ohm or 2 amps that does 400 to 500watts rms at 2ohm

The most cost effective way is to buy good used equipment and/or online/ebay etc...same goes for install. If you know what you're doing or have friends that can help you out, doing it yourself is the most cost effective way to install your equipment.
You may also want to use 6x9 component speakers that are direct fit replacemnets for your stock speakers, such as these MB Quart units:

MB QUART - a Brand of MAXXSONICS - RVF 269 6x9" - ENGLISH

some might say that a 6.5" will sound better, but quite frankly 6X9's of good quality sound excellent, are louder than 6.5's, and easily handle and deliver lower bass and more midbass than a comparable 6.5. Something to consider since your car is set up for it already. If I was outfitting that car, I'd use 2 sets of the Quarts, with a 4x150 watt amp, and a 1000-1200 watts for the subs...1600 watts of loud, clean, and sounds great.

what are the subs voice coil configuration. Are they dual 4ohm or dual 2ohm? Are these the new style type r's with the multi roll surround, or the older ones?
