help me troubleshoot my wiring?

ok so got all my in, all wiring ran, hooked it all up switched on the ignition, Amp lit up, good sign, then started playing music, nothing coming from the subs whatsoever, no movement/sound

Amp turns on and runs fine, so i'm asuming Power/Ground/Remote are all good

so that comes down to RCA's and Speaker wiring, this is how i wired them, on sub "A" i ran the single speaker wire from the amp to both + and -, then i stuck the other 2 wires in with the same ones running to the amp inside the subs terminal, then ran that second wires to sub "B":

does it matter if you use a positive or negative jumper when jumping them like this? with the subs i was given a red jumper and a black jumper (2) with each sub, does it matter which i use if i'm jumping the middle +/- ?

only thing i can think of is maybe the RCA's are in the wrong input in the back of my head unit

EDIT* one more thing..

in the alpine wiring diagrams, it shows the jumpers going into like a different hole than your typical push-down pin? all i did with my jumpers was push the pin down so the hole was there, and put a jumper in each hole as you would with speaker wire

do jumpers go somewhere else?

ie:

i dug this picture up from a thread saying the jumpers go in the top holes there on top of the pins

since mine are in the speaker wire holes is that the issue?

If you had a problem with the wiring on the subs your amp would go into protect if its not playing at all. Use an ohmmeter and make sure the impedance the amp is seeing is what you intended it to be. If all that checks out I would go get a 3.5mm (headphone jack) to RCA, then connect your ipod/mp3/cd player to the sub amp and see if you get anything. should be clear at that point where the problem is (Headunit or sub/amp)

What are the settings on your sub amp? Did you set the subsonic filter wrong?

0hz for now.
Subsonic filter is a high pass filter, so if its greater then your lowpass filter your not going to get an output.

maybe i could get some recomendations as to tuning? i took this pic when i just quickly tuned things up by ear so i was getting the levels, but im sure it's way off your typical tuning and ive never really done any good tuning before

Set the low pass to about 80-100hz (if you can on your deck (or amp if they are), set the rest of your speakers highpass to what your sub is at)
Change the phase to 0.

Then turn every **** and see how it changes the sound output. Eventually you'll find a setting that makes the stereo sound good to you.

the help is much appreciated!

might as well post up what i built today, turned out pretty good by my standards lol, they went under the bench of a 2002 F150, i had to get a seat raising kit to fit the R's but from the sounds of it so far it was worth it
