i think you'll have better luck trying to adjust your head unit properly and/or adjusting your line driver and amp.

the reason I'm saying there is a 1800 watt cutoff

IS:

With 1-15" Sub....IN MECA, you can only have up to 1800 watts (RMS or PEAK) and still be in the class in which my friend is currently in... If he goes with more than 1800 watts it will put him in the next Power class bracket.....

and only needing 0.4 Dbs to break his state record. I think since he is only using a 1200 watt amp right now....he could easily acheive .5 dbs with 600 more watts of power without changing his box or anything.

So, will a R.F. Bd1500 run a 1 ohm sub without going into protection or getting to hot and shutting off ????
