I am not going to name names of other manufactures that have had huge financial difficulties lately.....
Rockford is being proactive in selling that demo vehicle to generate cash before it is worth nothing.....you have all seen the Dodge Ram we were running around with a year or two ago.....You can bet that the vehicle was offered to dealers & distributors before it went on e-bay.
I would speculate that it will be some pro-sports type that will buy that vehicle, or maybe the music industry.
The H2 is a good demo vehicle for CES and big events but not for rep use......the thing costs a ton in fuel, is so tall it does not fit in most dealers bays (security problems when storing)
As far as the refurb products on the web....most authorized dealers have a shot at this stuff.

What is up with this? If it is new then the manufacturer should sell it through the proper network of dealers. I like Rockford and Korbon, but some conehead at Rockford is blatently not supporting the dealers. WTF goes?

Sure the amp is new but it is 2003 model....
I agree in some ways that they should sell this product to dealers....I speculate that they are selling it on-line to get a decent dollar for it as opposed to selling it at dead cost to a dealer. They would have to offer steep discounts on a 2003 amp.
Just remember that Korbon is not the distributor in Canada....only the sales/service force. We have no decision making power in most issues involving Rockford Fosgate.....Remember the USA/Canada ratio, we are only 10% the size....Imagine how much business California does compared to Canada.....easily 2 or 3 times the amount.
