Good bass... small box?

^ many
I'd go infinate baffle - only take up the space of the back of the sub-
or use an AP matt with the same idea-
this will take a bit more work then just building a simple square box, but will play much much lower then a small sealed box...
with IB you may loose accuracy depending on the sub.. AP has a similar sound to a much larger sealed box... (in a small box!)

Ah, they take advantage of cabin gain.
Do you know of more companys that B.S. it like that? How did you find out that those numbers were bogus?
And "in car" does that also mean in an enclosure? I thought the SPL was to be measured free-air . . .

I don't know if Infinity uses an enclosure or not ...
Here's what's on an Infinity parameter page ..
http://manuals.harman.com/INF/CAR/Bo...re%20Sheet.pdf
SENSITIVITY (2.83 V @ 1 M): 96 dB (IN-CAR @ 40 HZ)
But at least Infinity informs the buyer of their method ... Audiobahn is even worse

First off, the SPL/Sensitivity/DB or whatever you want to call it spec is useless. Completely. Forget it is there.
Secondly, most manufacturers use 2.83v. It comes from home audio, as do half of the car audio speakers out there.
For the ADD out there: Sensitivity is useless - ignore it.
