Arrow CanBus VSS Interface (CanBus > Analog VSS)

I am looking for a Canbus VSS interface that will allow me to have an analog VSS signal from a vehicle that runs on Canbus(no analog VSS).

I have already tried the module from Fortin (www.ifar.ca) but it does not meet my specifications.

I need a module that is ready for every Canbus car, or that is updatable for future Canbus vehicles(GM, Ford, Toyota and other companies are slowly converting to Canbus). Most module are ready only for higher end car makes like BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc. Essentialy, a module that is ready for any car and has fast and reliable tech support.

Any ideas?

For any car that has Canbus. Like GM is slowly converting to Canbus VSS, yet nothing out there is ready for it or even aware that it's running on Canbus (2007 Malibu, 2008 Saturn VUE and who knows what other cars from GM) Eventually Fords, Toyota, Honda will go to Canbus.

Hmm, so essentially there is nothing out there ready for any Canbus car as of right now. So what do installers do when faced with a brand new Canbus car that was never listed in any CanBus VSS interface list?

Cam position sensor won't determine the distance covered by a vehicle.

there are products out there but this is not a perfect world we all have to over come some obsticals....... there is no magic solution., i have a feeling on what your doing, and i know your trying to siplify the install but on some cars that there is not can vss then go to one of the wheel speed sensors, or the spedo sensor your just requiring a pulse right ? the pulse can be calculated, but going on hee and bitching on things thats arent built or things that we cant change is kinda silly, there have been a few peope respond sand you are cutting them down like there awnsers are no good.

I work for a company offering technology that utilizes the VSS. We're currently running into problems with certain makes using only the CANbus interface. So far we've run into the Saturn Vue 08, and the 08 Ford Escape. Fortin doesn't officially have an adapter for the 08 Escape but they said the 07 adapter *should* work, so we'll be testing it.

If anyone comes across any other companies like Fortin, please post them here or send me a private message.

Thanks!

Hey, I know the CANVSS is continually updated as new vehicles come available. Our Flashlink Updater can be used to update the CANVSS. This unit is sold in both North American and also Europe and it is working very well. What is your application. I maybe able to help you further.
