Build me a system
I want something that has alot of bass but still sounds good want 2500-3000 rms watts, budget around $3500-$4000 give or take not including a head unit, cables, alt, or extra batteries, would prefer to run only 1 15 or 18 sub but will run 2 12's if it is a better option.

Massive audio n4 will do 2k @1 and sound good for under 500$ also an american bass mini amp will do the same power around 500$ also.
This will leave you some headroom for a great fron stage to enhance your sound.
For components I'd check out morel hertz or focal. Roughly 700$ will cover them.
Run atleast 2 amps active for front midbass and tweets - 700$ I recommend JL slahs series but there are tons of possibilities depending on your space needed.
A few runs of 1/0gauge and wiring will be roughly 400$
This will put you around 2300- 2500$ so the extra cash you have available maybe get a processor and 2 batterries (important) and that should tip you in aroundyour original 3500$ budget without subs and box
I'd look into a DC level 4 or 5 can be had around 500ish and then build your box yourself and call it a day! 4k well spent!
Many variables depending on the vehicle

^N4 for $500 is a helluva deal. I haven't heard DC subs, but they seem well built. I agree in general with Johnny, but most people don't need processing and it could be confusing for many people to tune. If there's money left over though, definitely.
The massive stuff has good SQ all around. I run their subs/amp and speakers and am very pleased. I'd suggest to go to some local shows, and shops and demo everything u can with a CD u know well. Sound is subjective, you may like "speaker A" and I may like "speaker B" and I'm sure you'd be very happy with any high end stuff you buy, but make sure you'll be happy with it for a long time to come. If you haven't demo'd too much stuff, once somethings in your car you will be happy with it. If you've demo'd a lot, u may second guess your purchase after install.
As far as speaker amps, they all do the same job, so find one that has good CEA rated stats and the power u need. U will probaly need a bunch of power to keep up with 2000rms of subs.
A lot depends on install and design as well. Some people spend weeks deciding speaker mounting locations befor building pods etc. That is IF you're gonna go that far.
