Forgive me for not understanding correctly. So say a plane flies across the screen from left to right and the vibration moves left to right? Wow, that's...like....stereophonic Shakers are connected just like speakers to speaker outputs of an amp. So if the amp plays stereo signals, or if you have a surround-sound decoder upstream, the regular shakers will mimic everything the amp gives it. It sounds like those things just have a surround decoder in them?

Yep, that's the article I saw. Doesn't go into much detail, but ya go to the site and you can see they include four of the leg things (we're assuming they shake) and a brain, or for a big couch, two brains...

It sez ya still need amplifier(s) too.

Ya, a surround decoder would make it really cool I bet...

Me thinks these things need looking into further...

You want to get real serious?

Check out the D-box:

http://www.d-box.com/
Motion simulators uses a two or four point suspension system to lift and move your seating in perfect synchronization with the onscreen action and sound, creating a virtual-reality experience in your living room or home theater. You're literally drawn into the action as never before, experiencing the same motional forces as the actors and players you're watching.
It works with every movies, however there are some movies taht have been specificlly engineered with the d-box in mind.
