Thats fine but he asked for the RETAIL price. It does, of course, go on sale and is available at lower prices.

actually, the RETAIL price is the in-store price... you're thinking MSRP ....

I picked up my 9835 for $550 CAD the day it came out!

$549.99 IS the retail price. Anything lower is called a sale price or a promotional price.

BTW What does it matter? I gave him the retail price, he's cool with that and I am sure he will negotiate a deal with whomever he purchases it from.
