you have to pull the bottom pannel off there s pocket there there is some screws there, also pull the ***** off the heater contorls 3 screews there. then the whole pannel will pop off. there are 6 screws or 4 screws i believe holding the deck inplace. its pretty easy to figure out once your in there its very similar to a celica.

Thank you very much!! My buddy said that a factory Toyota option was a subwoofer, I wonder if they were kind enough to put RCA outs on the factory deck.......probably not I am sure.

i put a sub in a echo hatch back, just hooked a line level converter to the rear speaker outputs and tapped into the acc line for a remote and bobs your uncle you got the fixins to hook up some bass. i was pretty impressed how a single 10 sealed sounded in that lil bitch. anyways jeep good luck man.

Thanks Merlin, this hatch has no rear speakers, you must have hooked in behind the deck I assume. I have done installs using the ACC for a remote turn on before, is it necessary to fuse that, for the remote line, generally? Thanks.

yeah there is no rear speakers perse on that thing but the rear speaker leads are there behind the deck. its usually not a bad idea to fuse the remote line. for the most part alot of cars come with that line fused. but its better to be save then sorry.
