Wink

HI guys, I belong to another forum, which just has been destroyed by some Cyberterrorists, so I can't show you this through example (too bad) but I think it would be really cool if you guys were to create something called "Karma" here. (like there used to be on MX6.com) Whereas if people are helpful, and very informative, people can add to a little meter like thing. There, it was a little green oval like thing, the more you had, the more helpful you were, and therefore you have a better "reputation" or "goodwill". Here, it could be much like the maple leafs on here.... except perhaps little subwoofers or something. The more little subs you have, obviously, the more helpful you are. Its just a way of showing how generous and helpful people are. Like *ALL* you mods, as well as a number of people on this forum (I wont get into names, since there are too many) But a number of you guys are amazingly helpful, and have really been benefactors towards helping other people. That was really cool on that forum, it was great seeing all the people that were honest helpers, and contributers. Like Paul and Dereck are always helping out people, they're number of posts shows that too, but how about having a gauge to show just how very helpful a person is? Like there, on MX6.com, 0-30 comments or "Button clicks" if you want to call it equaled one little green "box" (bad name, but I dont know what else to call it, you should have actually seen it) But the more comments, or "button Clicks" the more green boxes, just like here, with the more posts, the more red maple leafs, or different colors too.

All this is just a way of having a visual indicator of the helpfulness any given person. Its just a cool thing to have, that I think the CCA contributers (like you Mods!!!) would be glad to have. Kind of a pride thing, I wish you guys had that also, it sure made that forum a lot..... better really.

Just an idea

It's used on another forum I post on. IT's a good idea, as being a post won't hold any value, but rather actually posting meaningful info. I think it's a good idea.

yeah man, I sure thought it was cool. There, the number of "comments" you recieved, was called: "Karma" The more Karma you had the better, not for any reason other then it showed that you had a helping spirit. There was no rewards offered (I think it would be cool for a free sub, or a free amp for those with the most) But that didn't happen there, it was just pure kindness kind of thing. ITs just an idea. but like John said, being a Post doesn't matter, only how much you help.

Its a great idea IMO. But thats just me.

You could always post about someone that helped you in the suggestions part of the board as i see many other people do. If anyone's really doubtful about someones help, check the feedback section and it may more often than not display those who are helpful and in good standing.

Not a bad idea. I enjoy the 'people helping people' attitude. I've had a lot of help from this board and learned a lot. Good work sometimes goes unnoticed. (However, I think it's important to avoid becoming like the American militarys' awards/decorations system, where you are often awarded for doing what's expected of you). Cheers.

What do the Mods think of this? I think its a great idea, but everybody helps out on a volunteer basis, nobody helps out anybody for financial benefit, its not like we are paid to do this.

Karma works good, because posts get bad Karma.
